I seem to be picking up oddities, but these two are just so wonderfully done I couldn't resist. Each one came on an acrylic plinth. They're stone and heavy. They're actual size and the detail is fantastic. They appear to be hand painted with appropriate abrasions to the stone one would see on pears at a fruit stand. They're cool/cold to the touch.I believe the stems are wire and once had leaves attached which are mostly broken off.

How can I tell if they're marble, alabaster or something else without damaging them?

    Thanks!
    Janice

These are really wonderful and, I think, highly collectible. The more realistic the better.

    I believe they are alabaster.
