Marbling was a popular technique for quite a while. In this case, the colors were probably poured onto the canvas and then manipulated to achieve a desired effect, either with tools, and/or tilting the canvas. You can see the bubbles.

A popular application was on the interior pages of books and I did some of this in college in the early 80s onto printmaking papers. We put the colors into a shallow tray and floated them on water and used toothpicks and such to get the effect. Then we set the paper on top of the water/paint mixture and carefully lifted it up. Good times!

    Sorry, can't help the ID.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I like the colors and the energy -- It would be difficult to identify since the signature of the artist is not really a person's name and is generic. I think it's funny that the copyright symbol is on it, but... I guess they didn't want it reproduced without permission? :snaphappy:
