Hi I have this small bowl made of some kind of quartz. I think it’s Japanese or Chinese. It has pewter or a brass coloured metal decoration with a makers mark on the bottom.I have no idea of what the mark means and would love it if anyone could help me identify its history.

    Hi Pipkin!

    Welcome to Antiquers........

I can't help, but I believe that a photo of the entire piece could offer more information to those who can.

Also, please change your image to Full Image.....easier to see.:cat:

Marks without pictures of the object are not often very useful and will elicit few responses.

Thankyou! I would love to know just how old it is even. But I have no way of knowing what the symbols mean!

mark read as "Tian Fu Wen Yin" - Tian Fu fine silver.

Is this metal real silver, need be tested.

Furthermore, I would like to know whether the stone is agate or crystal?
