    Hello all
This was shown to me by an owner of a nearby shop, she had taken it to the local auctioneers and was told she couldnt sell it because it is modern ivory. Its clearly bone so i made a small donation and took it home. I dont think its anything worthwhile but thought i would get a second opinion here. 14” tall

    Thoughts on age and origin?

Yes i see what tou mean by the mix, by default all african figures seem to emphasise the large lips, the head looks much more oriental. The pitting and the marrow in these pictures mean its bone though

Chinese and bone. Definitely not ivory, so you're safe.
    Could be 1910-1920.
