Aprox 50” tall.

Your figure is carved in the style of a Senufo (Ivory Coast/Mali/Burkina Faso) figure used in ceremonies of the Poro Society.

It is not always easy to tell if African carvings have been made for use in their original culture, or made for sale in traditional styles. But yours appears to have some age. Komokwa is correct to say that the number on the bottom looks like a museum catalog number, but it might also have been used by a serious collector for their own records.

Love the look on that little guy...reminds me of my own son......we have a life size "E.T." kid's clothes hamper / toy box in our loft , that was the look when he first saw it . Even at 6 years of age he gives it a wide berth, even though he has seen the movie and knows ET is a good guy .
