Hi all. Just picked this up from someone on Facebook Marketplace. I have seen a few on Ebay etc trying to sell this image for crazy amounts of money so I was hoping you could help me figure out how old my one is. What I know: Richardson Bros. Art Gallery in Winnipeg was open from 1904, was in operation for 40 years. I can't find a label like this one, only a green one. I have included a loupe pic, is this one an offset-lithograph? I see what I think is a rosette pattern (excuse my ignorance if I'm totally wrong). Did these lithographs usually have writing or a title under them? Any idea how to tell what age it is? Thanks!

Yours does seem to be a mass-market print. The image is out there as an intaglio print, possibly in more than one edition. Those would have had a title and some credits printed beneath. That might be true of yours. It might have info printed on the back.

Apparently the original print edition was made in 1789:

I would guess that more recent prints were made with color separations taken from the original painting... but that's just a guess. Yours is not an intaglio print.

    No. This is offset lithography.

That's why the fading. Not uncommon with vintage prints of this era.

I am talking about the print in the link that Debora posted:

That's what the seller purports them to be. And they look right.

The contrast in detail is evident.
