Any idea of the age of this cross? I'm thinking old because of the slot screws and the square bolts on the back.
Also Christ being metal (it's really a beautiful piece & you can see the metal under the color where it's been scratched (see 3rd photo nose & beard + 4th photo hand - that really looks like it was painted?) - could it be hand painted?)+ the size (38" tall) of the cross - was this from a church?
There's a label on the bottom but it's torn too bad to tell what it said.
    Thank you for any help!

Judging by the paper label could be around 1950s. Could be wrong though.

Hi, since Christ is on it it is a crucifix, a cross has no figure :)

I'm sure it says Jesus Our Savior.
I knew I've seen that exact design before but I can't remember where.
On a Catholic item no doubt.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Looks like UR on the label, so might be spelled Saviour, so probably not made in the United States?

If it did say Saviour where would that be from?

There are a lot of countries that would spell it that way. I think of it as British spelling, and think that countries in the Commonwealth would all most likely do that.
