Age on Spanish Ship Doorstop

    I believe this to be a doorstop. No idea on the age or maker as there are no markings. Hoping one of the experts can help with that. It is pretty big and heavy! It is 10 1'4" tall and 12" wide. The base which the ship sits on is 6 1/2" x 3 3/4". It is brass colored but based on the weight, might be iron. Thanks in advance!

    I’m no expert on Spanish Galleons but do you think a sail might be missing from the back? I think I can see a piece sticking up on yours and another bit right at the back that might have had something attached as these two examples.

    Those typically come in pairs and are vintage book ends. Yours does indeed appear to be damaged.
