I found this today at a local thrift store along with a lot of other art & sculptures that all came from 1 home (manager said owner died & family donated everything to make selling it easier).
This Calder's backing was loose & I was afraid it would let the glass fall out so I removed it to try to tape it or seal it (bend staples back better) so it was more secure - and I found this on the back?
Is it from a gallery? (middle set of writing on back says: galerie de varenne / 61 rue de varenne / paris eme - and the last one says something about a exposition tous le jours sauf le lundi/ and a date?)
Is it from the 1960s or 70s or new?
    Any information would be appreciated!

PS - what are the 4 hash marks by the frame next to the signature?

Shame it's been folded - if it's lost its value from it I'm going to keep this one, I love his work!
Thank you so much for the help!

What was info on back for - could this have been a poster from the show itself?

Yes, it's a poster advertising the exhibition.

The name of the exhibition was Tapisseries Inédites, which IM Translator gives as New Tapestries, but I think more literally means (previously) Unpublished Tapestries. Ones that haven't been seen before, at any rate.

Exhibition was open every day except Monday, 2 - 6:30pm.

Could it be folded back over and restored ?
I like Sandy Calder's work too.He made a little miniature circus when he was younger-hand sculpted toys that kinetically moved. They were beautifully little things that I'd guess most adults thought were cute and fairly clever-they led to his eventual creation of The Mobile.

And conservation costs would likely exceed the value of the poster
