Just got this fantastic Alfaraz vintage ceramic bull at a thrift last week. Does anyone know what the holes in the top are for? There are 7 on each side. So far I haven't seen another Alfaraz bull with holes. (Would it be for toothpicks or something?) Thanks for taking a look.

I have a rooster with holes on his body and was stumped until I saw one like mine and they said for tooth picks.
    Neat bull :)

Thank you Shiloh and Susan. Toothpicks it is.

Great minds think alike...I actually looked into that before bringing it here, but couldn't find one other Alfaraz toothpick figure online, bull or otherwise. These mid century Spanish Alfaraz pottery bulls sell in the $100-200 range under Ebay completed, but none have holes near the rear of the piece. Could it have been a special order?
