Ive had this knife for awhile and figured id throw it up to see if anyone could recognize the style. I got it from a guy who said its been around in his family since or before ww2. Maybe trench art? The blade was made and was never sharpened. On the sheath, its marked "F" ? 20190507_175031_compress72.jpg 20190507_175450_compress77.jpg 20190507_175211_compress21.jpg 20190507_175405_compress38.jpg 20190507_175342_compress66.jpg 20190507_175323_compress72.jpg

every one is unique.....I haven't seen 2 the same yet.....
Aluminum was readily available from aircraft parts....and didn't degrade in the Pacific Theater ...

Never even heard the term theater knife before until now. I bought it just because it looked like a one of a kind piece. And the story the guy told me kind of matches up too. Greatly Appreciated!

    It isn't forged - it's cast

    Probably a Mexico tourist souvenir

Nearly everything described as 'WWII theatre made' is modern fakery

The handle is cast, but the blade could be forged.

I didnt see how that could have been carved by hand... And the sheath does have a lot of character

    The rest, I don't know!

Got it. Probably the lighting, the steel looked kind of white for old steel.
