I have an aluminum lid with tiny knob. The lid is around 3 1/4" diameter. It has 5 rings. Each ring is about 1/4" distant apart. The lipped edge is nearly 3/16". I needed some help with whether this went on a coffee pot or kettle or something else maybe a canister like for sugar or flour as well as a time period and company that may have made it. Thank you for your help in this request. Rob

Maybe a lid to a sugar bowl.
Doesn't quite match the Moderntone lid, but something similar maybe.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Possibly also for a child's toy canister or container?
