Featured Amber? Bangle

    Another rescue mission. Before I glue it back together what do you think it’s made of?
    Amber? It does fluoresce under UV. Or some early plastic?. Or more modern trying to be older?:wacky:

    Lucite....Moonglow Lucite is fluorescent.

    I'd say lucite/perspex. Be careful what glue you use, some can dissolve it. Car windscreen stuff is good.

    I agree, perspex (lucite). Definitely not amber. It's pretty, hope the restoration works.:)

    That's more of a seal than glue. There's stuff that fixes chips, cures with light. Let me see if I can find it.

    I have been interested in this post as I have very small bear from Alaska that constantly spits his fish out. I found this site that discusses various glues that are activated by UV light. https://www.compare-products.net/bondic-vs-lazer-bond-vs-blufixx-vs-rapid-fix/ I have tried various things but nothing permanent yet. I haven't tried any of these products, but this site has a detailed comparison.
