From the pictures shown it looks like a cast copy, check the edge for a seam.
To get expert opinion let the Ancients guys take a look on our sister site CoinTalk.

My first impression is that it is ok, but, as davedemsey said, check the rim. It is a Follis of wmperor Constantine I struck in Siscia in 320 AD.

  4. I do not see a seal around the rim of the coin at all when I look at the coin. What judgement can you make based on the pictures?

heres one I found online...looks about right.

    Very nice, Alien.
That is why davey said "From the pictures shown", and added the advice to ask on CoinTalk.
I don't know about old coins, other than that they are a beautiful link to periods in history. But as the daughter of a father with a degree in metallurgy, I grew up being told about and shown metal techniques. I agree that from these pictures the coin looks cast, rather than struck. That may be different when you see it in real life. To me the examples you found look struck.
The coin can be photographed with better focus and detail against a white background, so you have more reflection of the light. That really helps when photographing small items.

    I agree with AJ.
The pictures you provided were awful.
If you post your question on CoinTalk in the Ancient coin section there are many collectors and experts who will tell you yes or no, they will know the weight and probably where it was minted.
I have turned your pictures the correct way, cropped them, lightened them and combined them.
These will be better for people to examine.

It still looks good to me. I already gave the place where is was struck and the denomination, also the year. I do not see any signs of being cast.

yeah the pics were the best i could do at the time...ill try for better ones against a white background.

also, some are saying cast and aome are saying struck. which is better/do i want this coin to be?

Cast are usually fake, Struck are from the moneyer or mint.
They were struck against a die with a hammer, hence Hammered coinage.

Tough to authenticate a coin from a photo. But my first inclination is that I see no reason to doubt it. It's not an uncommon reverse type--a Constantine "two captives under banner" reverse type, from Sicsia. Some variants can be rare. Not sure about this one. But it doesn't seem the kind of coin one could make a lot of money on by faking. Again, it looks genuine to me. Only possible red flag is that the flan is almost perfectly round for an ancient coin.

    Could be real.
It is a $10 coin at best in this condition.
