ancient currency or token?

    I found this recently at first I thought it was probably a tourist thing but since noone could identify it it seemed interesting, is it some kind of currency or surfboard symbol, its a heavy metal bar 11" long

    Im wondering if maybe its a paper weight, to hold down maps or books open or the like.

    good idea i see what you mean though I also found this smaller one with the same design so I'm guessing it's symbolic of something, maybe some souvenir sold at a museum, faked to look old?
