    When a child, we went each year to Corsica for summer holiday. Every home there had at least one amphora found while diving... But Corsica has always been known for breaking the laws:jimlad::bored:

    These have been found all over the Med for centuries, in many places it is quite normal to have them lying or standing around courtyards etc. Thousands were made for oil, wine and water on board ships. Trade was extensive on the Med in those days.
    It is only more recently that governments decided to make it illegal to own them. I suppose all those people who still have them will just have to throw them back into the sea.:rolleyes:
