Hi Joshua and welcome to Antiquers! :cat:

I doubt your vessel to be one would ever have been used to transport wine. I cannot guess how old it is, nor what type of clay, but the finish of it appears to be applied. I don't know what would have been carried in this heavy looking vessel, if anything. I suspect nothing. It may not be "antique".

Where did you get this vessel and under what circumstances? ;)

Please post Full images directly in your post and not in thumbnails. Some (including me) don't like to click on links. In this instance, I'm doing it, but it would be better if you post again to do it this way.

As far as the object, there is no way this was made for wine, in my opinion. It looks like something made in an art class. It almost looks like a model of a stomach.

It's too small for a bedpan anyway... ;) And for wine!
Now I think it's just an art student piece and likely not very old.

@Joshua D Bird , how much liquid will this hold?
Looks like maybe a pint? After consideration of the thickness of the clay..
