    Interesting little brooch. Almost reminds me of true damascene, but it isn't inlaid, rather the body is blackened. Before and after cleaning. V84A.jpg V82B.jpg V84B.jpg V82A.jpg

    Possibly Bidriware, from Bidar, India. Did it come with the mango necklace?

    Is it magnetic?It looks a bit odd,but the photos really don't show what it is,rust on the back?

    Not tried it with a magnet, good thought. Not rust, more like a mix of old polish and verdigris on the hinge and pin.

    It appears that the silver is inlaid.The piece could have been made anywhere there is grapes or from a photo of grapes.
