    Hi,
Is it 3" or 1". It is very pretty and will be gorgeous when polished. Needs to be opened to get AF opinion as to its maker and worth.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

About three inches. I'll see if I can open it carefully: I tend to leave these as is, if they're fresh to the market, as they say.

I don't think opening the back will reveal much. I believe it will be an unmarked "Swiss Bar Movement" but I will defer to @afantiques . Not really sure why but the majority of Swiss watches bear no markings on the movement. American pocket watches always have the makers name and a unique serial number.

I went up to the neighbour to collect the clocks, and she pulled out a little cardboard box of these watches. I drooled, rather. ;) I'm not taking a cut, she was lovely to my late Pa.

    3 inches? across or circumference.

There are usually 1 to 1 1/4 inch across.

Bog standard fob watch, been about £20 £25 at auction for years now. Like wristwatches, nost collectors are men and they want men's watches.
