Featured another asian? hand bell

    I bought this bell together with some other asian bronzes and african bracelet, 2 of which featured in previous threads. This bell is quite crude. For decoration there seem to be bunches of leafed branches on the bell itself? The handle is quite a bit off centre. Height about 8 cm, bronze.
    Anyone any thouhgts about where this bell might come from, what it would have been used for (temple?) and how old it might be?

    Very nice bell (ghanta), but it has been 'antiqued' imo.
    This is for home ceremonies, and could be Balinese. The top looks like the Balinese stylised representation of Dewi Sri, the Rice Goddess, which you see everywhere in Bali.

    Yes, the handle does look similar.
    Is the rest of the bell also in keeping with Bali? Or could that be from about everywhere?
    What does imo mean?
