Another carpet ID help pls

    Hi all,

    I bought this much less glamorous and less pricey carpet which as you can see has some losses and is not in great condition.

    it is 10 1/2 ft by 14ft
    Does anyone know what kind of carpet this is? It is huge and may not fit our space so I may have to sell it on. It was cheap though.

    This one is a flatwoven "kilim" - handwoven, in a technique similar to tapestry weaving. Probably also from Afghanistan. I can't speak to the date, but the condition is rather sad.

    Agree but I’ll add “definitely” an Afghani kilim.
