Hi All, I'm back with another chest of drawers I picked up at a Goodwill here in Colorado. From my limited knowledge and some research I'd guess early 19th Century American Hepplewhite style in cherry with pine secondary. Non-original Hepplewhite style pulls with thistle motif. Top drawer has a lock while the others just have decorative escutcheons. French feet in poor condition - I almost didn't buy because of the feet, but I'm a sucker for these old chests. Open to corrections on any of this and any other thoughts on age, possible location made, etc. Hep1.jpg Hep3.jpg Hep4.jpg hep5.jpg Hep7.jpg

Not a lot of time to comment about this but definitely an oldie. Not sure this is cherry. Could be birch, beech, or a fruitwood of some kind. Also not sure it is American but could be.

Thanks for the reply , Brad. Yes, looking at some birch chests like this one, the color does seem more like birch than cherry. I originally thought it was a bleached mahogany, based on the color, so shows what I know.
