My goodness! When you see a house like this you have to wonder how people lived there. Where did all that stuff "live"?

Sure glad I didn't have to dust it.
All that stuff and I only spotted 1 piece of Alexandrite glass! Almost worth the drive up there. Interesting mixture of nice and crap glass!

Wowza. Would not want to deal with all of that personally, but love to go to that sale. I'm sure I'd find something.

Wow is right. I wish I could go to that one, if only to look.

Oh my goodness... collector times 1000%. It's hard to tell from the one photo of the home, but it must be extremely large. Lot's of nice things there!

I was amused to see the fringed vest, which made me think of 1960s/early 70s hippy clothes. It was one of the few things I noticed that didn't seem to fit the rest of the collection.

Holy Moley Andy (as my friend - whose name happens to be Andy - would say!)

I only paged thru the first 40 or so photos, and I recognized a number of silver pieces that I have myself...

Were the sale nearby, I'd be there in a flash!

I think he was a doctor and she spent his $$$.
I see several sets of dishes I would love to have. She must have used a different set for each dinner party!
Yes, it is a large house in a 'nice' but not exclusive part of town.
Can you imagine the amount of time the company put into planning this?

Oh, Patd, back in the day, I used to do that!

Nowadays, I have an attic full of bins of dishes - and glasses - and silver!

I bet if old Dick & Betty got wind of an estate sale like this, they were prepared to drive or fly to check it out...

    Just for fun!

When I see folding tables and plastic shelfing throughout in this quantity, I believe that vast items from previous sales unsold are often brought in by the estate sale company. The home owner will get a much better draw of people by the appearance, and a small percentage of other items sold as well.

No well to do home owner would live like that, imho :)

I'd bid on the artwork and some of the Asian ceramics. What an amazing collection, but where did they actually live?? Seems to be some beautiful native American items too.
My knowledge isn't good enough but is it quantity over quality??
