Another item I lost to Hurricane Debby, August 2024

My parents started housekeeping in 1951 with this bureau set. There was also a dresser that matched, but my mom sold that a long time ago. Unfortunately I lost the smaller one.

There was so much stuff piled up in the basement that by the time the guys that cleaned up worked their way over to it, it was so badly warped, they just put it in the dumpster. They did save the drawers, though, because I had things in them.

I managed to save the larger bureau. It was in a place that was accessible to me. I had to remove all the drawers and walk the bureau to a drier place in the basement. The legs are a little warped, though.
