Cool shape on this one-- it (the shape) seems older to me than many of the more MCM ones I see.

    Is the mark anything interesting?

    Thank you for any feedback.

That's not the best pic of the mark; here's some better ones:

That's a real knockout Pot-I collect these and this IMHO is a superb form.
    PS-Is it heavy/dense like bronze,or perhaps a lighter 20th Cent/postwar alloy ?

It's heavy. I've had a number of those lighter ones, and this one feels thicker. But caveat: I'm far from an expert!

Some of the Post-War alloy creations are quite collectible (& not all are inexpensive),maybe they're kind of like our MCM masters over in Japan ? What's rare is to find one w/ the signed box for cheap for obvious reasons.A number aren't signed-great yours has a chop.

The Japanese are so good at perfecting a simple shape, and this is a fine example. Excellent find, Pottery

If you need an impromptu war club you could just stick the end of your broom into this vase. Interesting shape! I’d have grabbed it too. I’m a sucker for a Japanese bronze vase.

I appreciate both Chinese & Japanese, but prefer the Japanese because of simpler more essential line.Chinese is beautiful too, just has more dingbats & frills.
