Featured Another Wayang Golek Puppet I need to Identify.

as long as i keep finding these i keep buying them.
this is the third. i sold the other two.
I don't know Much about it other than he/she is 23" tall.

Nice puppet, Mikey. It looks like he (yes he) has had a new jacket and new hands at some stage. We all need a makeover every now and then.
He is a noble character, but instead of delving into my books to look at headdresses and head positions, I will tag @Ronald_D for you. Ronald is an avid collector of Wayang Golek puppets, so this is more his field.
I am more of a Wayang Kulit and Klitik kind of a gal. Glad to help out when no one else can, but now there is someone else to help.

Hi Mikey, This puppet is a wayang golek cepak puppet ... that's a different wayang golek style ... comming from Cirebon, North Java. The puppets from there looklike more chinese and is probably the oldest wayang golek. The puppet performance there are mostly stories about prins Panji and Amir Hanza. Your puppet looklikes the wayang cirebon version of Subadra.

Also was wanting to clean her face. Especially now I know she is a she.

Please Mikey ... don't try to clean the face.... the brown spots, which are comming through the paint, can't be removed. When brushing too hard you will damage the paint and those colors are very hard to restore. Your puppet also has the original clothes ... like the 4 puppets on the right at my photo.
