Antique Book 1877 German?

Hello, this book is not in the best of shape, but looks like all the pages are there, any help greatly appreciated

 

This one may be philosophical. Sounds like a guide to living.

Inbegriff (the big word at the top of the page) means "Epitome" in English and the words on the next 3 lines are "Necessary (something) and Common (something) above Nature and Human Life"

 

We entered the title into our translator software and it spit out "Emergency phones and Common women from Nature and Human Life" -- mmm, that doesn't seem right. Amusing, though, no? Ran it again and got "Emergency heads and Community women from Nature and Human Life."
We're guessing we've misread one or more letters in the blackletter font...
But the bit right after that translates more believably as "An Auxiliary book for Teaching Realities, Language & Arithmetic."

 

I am not good at reading sideways anymore, and my neck and back won't cooperate either, so sorry, can't help.
