Antique brass dog tax tags

    Hello,

    I wonder if this is a right place for such items.

    I found these tags from a farmer estate sale. I sold some on ebay. There are strings of tags with continue numbers like 1801 to 1900. They are original, I just wonder if someone could give me more information about the tag collection IMG_2286.jpg IMG_2287.jpg IMG_2288.jpg

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    From 1801 to 1929....Lasalle Co....looks like that farm might have been the licensing dog office/r and they were never used.....just my guess/opinion....I didn’t even know they licensed dogs back then!!! Can you see or tell what state that was?? Just curious!

    Could be Lasalle County Illinois. Dog licenses have been around since 1446,so I guess 1929 really wasn't early.
