I would be very grateful if perhaps any of you would know what the approximate age of this candlestick is?
It looks very old, but I can't find any similar online..
There are musical instruments on it, but there are no other markings anywhere on it. Maybe if anyone knows at least about the period to which they would belong ..
Thanks to anyone who will have any comment on it.

before we know where bought and at least the height it will be difficult.
they are sold as spanish abbey/altar/ church candelabra in different variations.
the last "good" ones were sold after the civil war up to the 1950s in Spain when the abbeys and churches were destroyed.

oooh lala. the Italians are wonderful craftsmen. :) they can copy anything. 35 cm is a bit small IMO for the typical church ones. the original ones were carved out of the full without that rod and at least 70 to 80 cm tall.
but I'm sure one of our brilliant Europeans will know more.

The base metal under the gilding looks silvertone. Is it spelter?

I don't get an ecclesiastical vibe off it. If there were a religious link, it would have been made for something associated with St Cecilia, the patron saint of music.
As it is, with the gilding, frills, and musical instruments, I would guess it would do well on a musical soiree with a select audience.;)

Yes it is spelter in my opinion..so it is not possible that candlestick is older than 20 century?
