Antique ceramics

    Need help in identifying the ceramics found in my recently deceased grandparent's cupboard in Indonesia, any information or help would be appreciated! IMG-20200815-WA0020.jpg

    This is a onyx vase, as much as I can tell

    A small vanity mirror, probably brass or bronze from the 50s I believe

    Hi @Virtual_But_Present, and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!! Your best bet to getting help here will be to take each piece out of the cabinet that you need help with, and photograph EACH one on an UN-cluttered background, showing it from different angles, including the bottom which may have identifying marks. Close-ups of marks help the most! Members here are happy to help!!

    Welcome, VBP. Looks like there could be some interesting things in there, we definitely need more photos. Maybe you could make small groups to photograph together, and we can take it from there?
    Looks like that might be a 1950s-60s aragonite vase, or a similar type of stone.
    Or serpentine, which is why we need pictures. The celadon bowl on the same shelf has caught my eye, it could be Sawankhalok. There is also what looks like a Chinese lacquer vase.

    Hi all - thank you very much for the information and tips so far!! Really helpful. Sorry I am new to this , I will ask the executors to take a close picture of the individual items with the markings.

    Will post more photos next week as the items are overseas
