Antique chair

    It measures 22”x23”x38”
    I don’t see any markings on it anywhere

    Id guess a mass produced eastlake style chair 1880-1900 or so. Pretty,but not terribly valuable . They made millions of this stuff.

    Solid with attractive lines. Still a pleasing, useful chair. Upholstery looks 1960s.

    Yeah the guy who was throwing it away said they had it reupholstered a couple of times

    Eastlake transitioning into Renaissance Revival ca. 1900. Solid wood, good construction, and as verybrad said, part (side chair) of a parlor set. Maybe not the most comfortable, but still higher quality than most chairs made today.

    Have a peek in the late 19th century Sears Roebuck Catalogs. You will find very similar if not the exact match.
