My grandmother was getting rid of this about two years ago, and I just had to have it. She says it was something her husband had picked up from an auction in the 70's. It's a lovely hand painted fan, but what caught my eye is the writing on the back of the fan. One of the things written is "Remember the Sabbath July 25th, 1910". Could anyone maybe tell me it's value?

    Hi,
Depends what the fan is composed of. Does it have torotiseshell sticks or plastic? If you look on ebay and see what they sold for, NOT what they are asking for. If it just for resale I would offer it for 19.99 and see.

    Greg -
The reeds look like lacquered wood. Gingo leaf design.
Most likely from Japan or maybe China
    That is only my guess

You know I was thinking gingko at first, but I really do wonder if these are actually trumpet-shaped flowers?
