Antique Federal Mirror?

I picked this up in a thrift store a few years ago for $20, and it’s definitely missing some of the balls/wood has broken off. Trying to figure out if this is actually 1800s or a midcentury replica.

    Are the top and bottom 'extension' parts plywood? If so, that'll help date it (as much more recent).

    Welcome Ken.
    I'm not seeing what would be a Federal period. Looks like it might be 50s but more likely recent. Is the glass domed or flat?
