Featured Antique Fireplace Screen ID Please

Hello, and thank you. I am trying to determine the age of this tapestry and to confirm that it is a fireplace screen. I have researched the Internet for hours and can’t find one that has this easel type construction and smooth wood lines. The size is 23” X 24”. Thank you so much for looking.

 

Hi,certainly looks the part. But I also couldn’t find another example with a easel type stand. Maybe also an antique tapestry display stand? Or maybe a once off ‘homemade’ item? Other more knowledgeable members will know better than me.

I think this is a tapestry display after watching some old westerns from the 1800's - I saw one in the background from an episode of Death Valley Days.
