Vide grenier day was good to me! Saw this and had to have it, its the perfect size to be useable in any size apartment, its old, its in fairly good shape, and it folds up! If I were to hold off and get something else I probably wouldn't find a similar one for under 150, they're trendy here. Two hinges are damaged so the mirror panel doesn't stay upright and the right panel half comes off. Otherwise there's nothing a little wood dough and some varnish/something won't fix! The left and middle panels open onto a shallow tray. The right side is a deeper compartment with a faux drawer on the front. The old lining is a delight, not so grody as the bad lighting would have you believe, and smells like old makeup/perfum.

I'm wondering about the age. My thought is 1940s, but the drawers' dovetails look more like my 1850s dresser. A friend of mine guessed 1890s. I'd appreciate your input!

I'd be guessing 1920s here, but who knows.

I love the lines. Those legs are so delicate . Id guess later rather than earlier as well. !920s sounds right.

Despite the flathead screws, I’d say 1940s is about right.

Excellent, thanks all! I had both 1920 and 1940 in my head but went with the 40s as it felt a bit more utilitarian + the fabric. I did a lens search and this specific design goes all the way back to the 18thc, complete with the similar interior and everything.

Yes I've seen similar online, Art Deco vanities are all the rage right now and especially the folding/compact ones. Didn't expect to find one but couldn't let it go! 35 is far less than I'd find anywhere else.
