I was surprised at the asking price of some of these things. They look to be mainly dating from around 1890 or so? There’s alot going on in this bottle (a bit difficult to photograph) The bottle stand 20cm tall. Anyway I will try and repair it and clean it (if I can) Do you think it’s really that old? The bottle definitely looks antique to me. Thanks for any comments

The Passion of Christ, amazing folk art. I always saw these bottles in France, and they were 19th century.
I'm sure yours is 19th century too, and pretty sure it is French.

Cool object. Are there any markings on the bottom of the bottle? You might find information useful in dating it on this website (although it might not be as useful for European glassmakers.)

Thank you for the reply and link. There’s no markings on bottom (sorry I was meaning to up load a photo) But it does seems to have a pontil mark. It seems very slight but I can feel the slight edge/scar and unevenness with my finger. IMG_8050.jpeg I read:
    • ‘Older bottles, particularly from the 19th century or earlier, might have very few or no markings, or only pontil marks (scars on the base) that indicate how they were made’’
    So that sounds about right.
