Antique furniture - help identifying it

    Hello all,

    A relative left me this antique furniture and I would love to find out where it comes from and what era. She mentioned at some point it might have been German but not sure!

    it could well be German. I'd put it into the Gründerzeit - the era that followed the foundation of the German Reich in 1871. in a wider sense it is part of the Historismus. heavy, probably oak, Wagnerian...

    warning. :) that means it could be as late as 1910s because the style was certainly present much longer on the countryside than in the big cities, where the concurrence by art nouveau/Jugendstil etc. was bigger.
    do you know where your ancestors lived ?
