Hi all, i finished cleaning and stripping the paint off the shade. I'm thinking of keeping it but not quite sure if i like the natural brass look on the shade, any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

Hm. I have to admit that I am not overly fond of the "bald" brass look. But nothing else presents itself, so that is just an opinion with no suggestions or solutions.....sorry!

I LOVE that base!!! Coolest gooseneck lamp I have ever seen. The only thought I have is hitting the shade with a good black enamel paint if the bare look is bothering you. That would still look a bit odd but it wouldn't be bare metal if that is bothering you.

I love the brass look, but that may be because I love anything steampunk.

I have a gallon ziploc bag filled with old clock gears I got from a clock shop, but I still haven't managed to make anything with them yet. I wish I had gone back and asked for more when I was still in 9th grade, but I'm too old to get free gears now.
