    Hi--I am NOT a furniture person..they will come along soon. BUT--I do know those are modern screws used in the construction....

    Vaguely arts and crafts looking,but Im guessing a homemade job . That being said,I really like the shape and simplicity. I also like the holes used to move them . Id guess 1890s-1920s in age.

    Thanks for the replies. My 8 year old granddaughter has been begging to keep them. I guess they're hers now.

    They're fun and not the kind of thing that would suffer from a coat of bright enamel paint.
