Antique Hutch

    Just acquired an antique hutch. No maker’s mark but does have a unique medallion on the base doors. Antiques dealer said late 1700’s was a guess on age. Any info would help!!

    I don't see the hutch, lol.
    Post a photo of entire piece, you'll get more replies that way.

    NP. You may want to get a shot of the joinery and hardware. Maybe if you stand on your head while taking the shot, they'll be oriented properly (joking!)

    It looks like a sledgehammer in the pic but in person, the left side slopes. Looks more like an axe to me

    Yeah, I don't think 18th century (1700s), more likely late 19th century. Where are you, where did you get cabinet?
    Guesses english oak china cabinet, late victorian
