For those who like such things, we've been cleaning up the shop which hasn't been done since 1973. Found this matched set of 8 Wilson Bohannan #70 padlocks with two keys. IMG_6548.jpg IMG_6550.jpg

Very cool, never see this anymore, what period does this date to?

I believe the #70 is in the 1900 catalog. I haven't looked at it in awhile. I hate to get rid of stuff like this, but at some point you realize you are hoarding things you don't need.

Those are pretty awesome. I bet they'd sell handily if some Mantiques types could get at them!

Realization is only the beginning, I'm impressed you want to find a new home for these! I do think they will do well in an auction.

Those look very nice. I'm sure they'll find great new homes.

Having a matched set of 8 antique padlocks is unheard of. Think some collector would want them. However, as a former padlock collector, I would not have wanted them unless quite cheap. My goal was to have examples of different locks so would not have been willing to pay a premium for a set.

We have a plethora (always wanted to use that word) of antique and vintage locks hanging in the shop. Not to mention the antique door knobs I've convinced Jon to save. We really need more work space and the "kids" and grandkids aren't really into antiques. :(.
