Title is supposed to say soap dish. I grabbed this at the car boot on Sunday. I've never seen so many cars there before. Must have been at least 300 cars. I thought it was an egg separator at first but I was put right by the seller. Four red numerals on the base so Spode perhaps? Some sort of Chinese rose/garden pattern..

butter dishes with strainers were common back in the day when folks churned their own butter at home.
