Featured Antique Side table

    Hi everyone,

    Does anyone recognize this old table? There is a broken piece underneath but it is still functional.

    Nice mix of Renaissance Revival gadrooning and acanthus leaves with Eastlake ball and stick. The veneer appears to be mahogany. I’d guess ca. 1900 for a date. Nice design!

    I have one very similar for my paperweight collection - it was made by George Hunzinger who did a lot of stick and ball type furniture.

    Agree with the late 19th century date. Wants to be mahogany but almost look like maple with a mahogany stain. :confused: I don't see Hunzinger quality for this.

    Glad you like it! Given the decorative elements, am I correct in saying it's "United States," not "British," Eastlake? Also, do you think it was factory/machine-made and a "parlor table"?
