    Hello All!
I have an antique side table that I am trying to figure out when it is from, where it is from etc.
    Let me know your thoughts!
    Some things I have noticed:
    - Hand made dovetails
    - glue
    - some super small nails that are hardly visible
    - looks like a couple handmade screws
    - the top is made from 4 pieces of wood
    - It is decorated front/sides/back
    - the knob is held on back by what looks like an old piece of leather (?)
    - Measures a little over 27” tall x 16”x16”
    - A repair on one leg
    - Beautifully hand carved

It is in a French Directoire style. Does not appear to be a period piece. Wood is walnut.

The book matched veneer top can be polished up and they look nice, but any chips are notoriously tough to repair well.
