Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask... But.. Recently purchased this "statue" at an estate sale in Virginia. They didn't have much on it except that it was "very old" and was "likely, Joan of Arc". I have searched and searched online and have found nothing remotely like it. Also ran it through AI and it said, it was likely NOT Joan of Arc, so I am at my wits end. Can anyone gave an educated guess as to when it was made, what it is made of, and who it might be? I think it is carved from granite (uneducated guess) and appears to be wearing a helmet and carrying a sword (I first thought it might be crusader or Templar knight, but there are no Templar crosses visible. It's about 14 inches tall and very heavy. Any thoughts are welcome and THANKS!!! :)

Its uniform surface appearance suggests possible granite, to me. I like it!

I used to see many ornaments like this in France in the 1970s, they were newly made in Medieval styles. My parents had a few on their patio, they bought them in Provence.
I don't think yours is "very old" but given the hairstyle (not a helmet), I do think "likely, Joan of Arc".
Please don't be, AI is rarely right.;)

Agree. A little (loosely) Medieval-style ornament. 1970ish when such things were being made. Joan d'Arc likely.
