  1. Hi - we have been handed down this little (860cm high (2"10)) chair. I cannot find any markings on it but was wondering if anyone can please shed some light on it. i.e. age and make. I think my mother-in-law reupholstered the sprung seat with her own stitch work :) Many thanks 99095278_239417477351839_8326993356949291008_n.jpg 100089299_250177712714014_8637338708686667776_n.jpg 99289470_288577445875302_9038420209534238720_n.jpg

    You're in Perth, right?

Thinking English walnut on this ca. 1880. Nice carving. Probably a side chair in a parlor set. Not worth alot in these times of Brown Furniture Depression, but handsome and easy to place, due to its small size.

  3. Hi. Yes, Perth Australia. The chair came from the family farmhouse in Kent so your thinking was correct that it is English. I thought it might have been a child's chair. Not really worried about the selling price as I love it and it will stay in the family. Thanks for your input. :)
