Any advice please

    I have been trying to research these two wood carvings I found whilst clearing out my late parents home, but to no avail. Any advice is very much appreciated.

    Check Makonde carvings.

    It is a souvenir from Kenya. The subject is Maasai, but these are carved by neighbours of the Maasai.

    It is not a Makonde carving though. One way to tell the difference is the hairstyle, and the quality of Makonde carvings is generally better and more naturalistic.
