    Hi fellow antiquers,

Any help you can give any help dating this chest? It is located in the netherlands.
It look like it was recovered here and there but overall seems original.

That chest is a beast! I think we have something similar (maybe not quite as big) that I will have to dig up. :)

good digging then. it's a COFFIN lid after all... as long as you don't find long lost relatives inside...:)

Oh, gosh, I know this it not the right place for this. I don't seem to be able to start a thread...or to private message anyone to ask them about it. :-/

Hi, Jackson. Have you followed the brief instructions in this thread for how to start a new one? https://www.antiquers.com/threads/posting-a-thread-and-uploading-pictures.15990/

If you do not see the blue rectangle at the top of the main page of your desired Forum, there is something wrong, likely on your end. What browser are you using?

To send a private message to another member, click on your Inbox (top right side of page, next to your user name) then click on Start A New Conversation (PMs are called Conversations here.) Type in your subject, then select a recipient by starting to type in their user name. That will bring up a list of members with names that start with what you have typed. When you see the person you want, click on the name. Type your message in the box and click Send.

When I click on the link above I get this message:
    Antiques Board - Error
You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.

I also do not see a way to start a conversation in my inbox or I don't see the blue rectangle at the top of the forum as you describe.

I never did receive a confirmation email of my registration. I sent a message to the admin to ask about this but haven't heard back yet. I use Yahoo mail and I checked my spam folder, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Well, that explains it, Jackson. Let's try getting you in touch with a moderator instead. If Admin (Peter) is needed Davey will have a better chance of reaching him.

@daveydempsey Please see what can be done to straighten out Jackson's problem? Thanks!
