It’s very hard to read but seems to have a flag or leaf in a shield and this letters CS either side. Two other words I can’t read.
My thinking is German, Austrian it Czech 1930s?? It’s about 10cm tall. All help appreciated. 6F5B111D-4D27-4F39-A4C2-D57B35C1874C.jpeg

Rontgen's marks book is showing a Carstens' mark that I believe is it.

very nice uranium glaze. Gräfenroda was the last factory of the Carstens family that closed in 1949. I'd check if it was designed by a famous artist.

That’s it, with Carstens in the top of shield as well. Many thanks

A great help many thanks. Can see one similar but will need to brush up on my German. I love the German 30s uranium glazes- have a few other makers but not this one

You can see how it evolved into fat lava.

it's a good site to look up if any other marks fit one of the Carstens empire. they were a big player and their factories were wide-spread all over the old Reich. the problem was that end 1948/start 49 the last factories in the east became VEBs and the ownership got lost. but they had a relaunch in the west and started to buy small - sometimes destitude - production places.
so it may be amazing for many that behind some West-Germany companies the Carstens family showed up again. Fredelsloh, Tönnieshof etc..
