They look like they have resin or something on top.

    These are called fire agate.
There is no resin, this is how they polish up.
    Beautiful!

You're welcome! These are gorgeous and large specimens.
You should have them set into jewelry.

Nice fire agate, many times they are carved down to just above the interior spheres. Here is one I cut some years ago.

I'm going to sell them on ebay but I need to get better pictures. They're really pretty.

I also have a piece of moldavite to sell. They both came in a box that I bought for the pince nez that was in it. And there are several more baggies of unpolished stones that could be anything.

I don't know where else it may occur, but I have known these to be called more specifically Mexican fire agate.

Same here. They're really interesting stones. If someone had those and some moldavites, they were into pretty rock. Moldavite is volcanic glass if memory serves.

Can V.Robin get a cheap Rock Tumbler & polish up those raw stones before He sells them-doable for an amateur (like me) ?

They are polished, only a flat lap would help the backside without damaging to tops. Someone can bezel set them with a back plate and never see the back surface.

What I'd love to see more of is the Posters country of origin.Helps me orient location of the find while our contributors stay anonymous.Sorry for any gender assumptions.

Agreed - country of origin (and hopefully country they're posting from) is useful. It really helps to nail down origin of some types of furniture and decorative items.

OTOH knowing what language they're likely to be speaking at home or translating out of helps keep the miscommunications to a minimum.
